gemini grind + brew is designed to capture the ritual and quality of making pourover coffee in a more automated, precise process

the project was an exercise in form-giving and DFM; creating a practical product built to industry specifications and manufacturable parts that assemble into a seamless final product

gemini would be manufactured with stainless steel, aluminum, silicon, and glass, the latter two of which would be the only materials liquid coffee touches

the high-fidelity appearance model was constructed with acrylic, polystyrene, 3D printed PLA, and lots and lots of paint

the 8-cup glass carafe has a set-back spout, allowing it to fit in the circular area within the machine's main tower

the cone tray fits the standard 5" pourover metal cone with a handle to match the carafe's. the silicon bottom features a slot that holds it in place in the machine
